Pressing Instructions

Proper Heat Press Application for Long-Lasting Results

For the best results with your DTF transfers and gang sheets, a professional heat press is required. Following these instructions carefully will ensure strong adhesion, vibrant color, and long-term durability.

Equipment Required

Professional heat press
✔ Even, heavy pressure capability
✔ Parchment paper or Teflon sheet

Home irons are not recommended because they do not provide consistent pressure or heat.

Step-by-Step Pressing Guide

1. Preheat the Garment

Pre-press the garment for 5–7 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles.
This ensures proper adhesion.

2. Position the Transfer

Place the transfer in the desired location with the film facing up.
Make sure the garment is flat and wrinkle-free.

3. First Press

Press at:

  • 330°F

  • 10 seconds

  • Heavy, even pressure

Consistent pressure is critical for proper bonding.

4. Cool Completely Before Peeling

Allow the transfer to cool completely before peeling the film.

Peel slowly and evenly.

If any part lifts, lay the film back down and press again for 5–7 seconds.

5. Second Press (Recommended)

Cover the design with parchment paper and press again for 10 seconds.

This step improves durability and wash resistance.

Aftercare Instructions

For best results:

✔ Wait 24 hours before washing
✔ Wash inside out
✔ Use cold water
✔ Avoid bleach
✔ Tumble dry low or air dry
✔ Do not iron directly on the design

Following proper care instructions will extend the life of your print.

Common Application Mistakes

🚫 Not using enough pressure
🚫 Peeling while still hot
🚫 Using a household iron
🚫 Skipping the second press

These errors may cause lifting or poor adhesion.
